KEA getting results in a more challenging market back

According to expert predictions from The Independent at the beginning of the year, key factors such as Brexit and general economic uncertainty were causing the overall housing market to massively slow down, with homeowners looking to sell their property generally ‘waiting up to 10 months to attract interest’.

A few months on and the housing market still finds itself in a challenging space, however we are proud to say Kent Estate Agencies are still getting positive results, achieving 98.4% of asking prices.

According to the Homeowners Alliance handy comparison search tool, in May 2016 ‘the average property sold in the past six months stayed on the market for 55 days’, increasing to 60 days a year later (May 2017).

Their research shows properties took an average of only 40 days to sell with Kent Estate Agencies, in areas such as Whitstable and surrounding areas. As the market continues to look uncertain and more challenging, due to the Brexit vote as well as the hung
Parliament, it is important that home owners recognise this and are prepared for the possibility that the sale of your property may take slightly longer than usual.

Do not lose faith, the key is to be prepared, do your research, and ensure you pick a good local agent to achieve a successful sale. That way if it does take longer it will not have a huge impact and if it happens to develop quicker than expected then even better!
